Equipment to rent/borrow (new 16 Jan 2001)

• Rotating wing stand
  Georg Klein, one of the owners of DR.1050 D-ECZC (s/n 28) has just completed the restoration/refurbishment of the wing of his aircraft. As he was working alone most of the time, he has constructed a movable wing stand in which the wing can also be rotated. With the help of this fixture, one person by himself is able to handle the big one piece wing of the Jodel while doing repairs or recovering/painting it. So it seems this is something nice to have during a restoration. Now I talked to Georg, and he said he would be willing to let others who are planning to do major work on their Jodel wing borrow the wing stand - quite a nice offer, isn't it? If you could use his wing stand, send me an e-mail and I'll put you in contact with him as Georg has currently no e-mail address.

  Tip from Pierre Duval: Ref. no. for DR.1050 belts is 343-1 12 007 04 486 (for blue ones, other colors available). The belts have a JAA form one and conform to FAR TSO C22F. The contact is Mr Radakovic. Price in 1999 was was 1560 FF (DM 465.14 or 237.82 Euro) (plus VAT) for all four (incl. hardware like buckles etc.). This was my third order with them and I never had any problems. Very nice job and a full choice of belts, colors, fasteners, etc. They work for Dassault and the French Armée de l'Air. (Pierre restored his DR.1050 F-BMGK s/n 572 January to May 1999).
  Update 11 September 2000: A call by myself to Mr. Radakovic revealed that Anjou Aéronautique can only supply new seatbelts and complete replacement parts, i.e. they don't do overhauls or repairs.

  Tip from Søren Andersen: They do cargo nets, parachute harnesses and seat belt repairs. They are reliable and reasonable priced. If organized correct the job may be done without VAT (no VAT on aeroplanes in Denmark). The company is JAR certified. (Søren is owner of DR220 AB F-BRVY and previously of DR.1050 OY-GPD s/n 528).
  Update 28 Sep. 2000: I used them to overhaul 3 sets of Anjou Aeronautique Seat Belts, i.e. replace the webbing. It took a little less than two weeks including mailing the belts to them and them mailing the belts back to me. They charged DKR 390 (DM 102.26 or Euro 52.28)per belt for a total of DKR 1170, DKR 15 for the JAA Form One and DKR 115 for shipping back to me (airmail), a total of DKR 1300 (DM 340.87 or 174.28 Euro). A rather bad experience came a few weeks later with my new bank account statement: The bank (NOT Lite Flite!!) charged DM 45 (23 Euro) for the transfer of the money to the Lite Flite Account because it is a foreign bank. So i case you have a credit card, you should check with Lite Flite if they accept it - it would definitely be the cheaper version to pay your bill ...
